The brief

Jemma and Justin wanted to transform the bathrooms in their home to better suit their lifestyle, adding a sense of space and functionality. The centrepiece was the master ensuite, which had become cramped and no longer met their needs.

To achieve their vision, they engaged MGM to relocate the existing walk-in robe, creating the opportunity to almost double the size of the ensuite. Alongside this, they wanted to completely renovate the main bathroom, giving both spaces a cohesive, contemporary look with carefully considered layouts and quality finishes built to last.

Our approach

This was far more than a standard bathroom renovation. It involved reconfiguring the master suite by relocating the walk-in robe, allowing the ensuite to be expanded into a spacious, light-filled retreat that made the most of every square metre.

The redesign required significant plumbing and drainage alterations, with all services relocated to suit the new layout and every fixture positioned for both practicality and visual balance. Careful planning and attention to detail were essential to deliver seamless transitions between the existing home and the newly renovated spaces.

At the same time, the main bathroom underwent a complete transformation. Every element was stripped back and rebuilt with fresh, quality finishes and modern fixtures, creating a functional family bathroom that complements the elegance of the new ensuite. Renovating both bathrooms together meant a consistent design language throughout the home alongside a significant lift in everyday functionality.

The outcome

The completed renovation has transformed the way Jemma and Justin use their home. The master ensuite is now almost twice its original size, offering a spacious retreat that feels both practical and refined. The relocated walk-in robe and redesigned layout have unlocked the full potential of the master suite, creating a natural flow between each space.

The renovated main bathroom reflects the same level of craftsmanship and detail, delivering a modern, functional space designed to withstand everyday family life while holding a timeless aesthetic.

By combining thoughtful design, structural alterations and extensive plumbing reconfiguration, MGM delivered two beautifully crafted bathrooms that enhanced the comfort, functionality and long-term value of the home.
